Barge royalty and crumpet

Wheels. Tats. White. No daffs. I is disappoint.

ETA - add crap plate and only a 500. Uber-disappoint.

Agreed. Don't like the wheels, the colour, the 500 isn't bad but obviously not as "proper" as it could be. I think I could settle for the broad, mind.
There is so much about this image which should make me run a mile. Yet I suspect I wouldn't run at all but rather loiter suspiciously for far too long. I'd forgive a white Merc on naff wheels with a dodgy rear reflector and plat for those heels. I started following this Instagram page recently. There's the odd car on it. https://www.instagram.com/p/CJg2z7JMw_j/

If you're at a loose end on a lockdown friday eve then the Mathewsons auction is live now and reconvenes in the morning.

A quick flick suggests perhaps that several bidders were at a loose end this evening and parked their laptop on the shelf of their cocktail cabinet?

I'm getting old. I want to warn her about bunions and blisters. Maybe take her home and rub her feet. Or something.

White makes the door handle stick out like a sore thumb on that C126.

The handle's a total crime on any of them.

What a disaster.

The woman should have been positioned against the door to obscure the door handle. Close, but no cigar.

Sorry Jim, I know you have one and they're loved on here but I've never gelled with the styling.

Boring old world if we all liked the same thing etc etc.
Insert Specsavers logo.
Insert image of SC430.

Really, a car should have an accelerator, a brake, an indicator switch and a headlamp switch. I suppose a forwards/backwards/park button would come in handy.
That is why you need an Aston Martin.

and the rest of the tech in the cars is so out dated you can pretend it harks back to earlier, better times.
As an added bonus, if you're a fan of early '00s Volvo infotainment systems, you're in for a real treat with an Aston. hehe
When my brother in law started working for Aston....oh the hours we spent laughing at our matching keys and navigation screens.

NB: I had a Volvo V70
NB 2: Only one of us was laughing

That auction is, like all auctions, utterly nuts.

This was worth £5500???? Well apparently not, but how is it even worth £3800?!?!?!!!!

Raleigh Choppers are now more than I was paying for perfectly serviceable cars in the '90's. WTAF?? /?

Meanwhile here's an A8 4.2 in anonymous grey with anonymous grey at £3k. Milky headlights as standard.

https://www.gumtree.com/p/audi/2003-audi-a8-quattr...

And an X308 XJR in flamenco (?) at 3295, which looks great.

That Jaguar drivers seat and steering wheel look like they have been used extensively by someone wearing a chainmail suit. Is it me, or does it also look like it might be rear wheel steer?

Given the shade and the name of the vendor someone felt like dancing in it? Or it's been munched by a steer?

Some of Mathewsons reviews are hilarious. This one the guy accuses David of being rude and condescending his reply does nothing to disprove this. Makes him come across as an arrogant wker.

Here the review

And here's the reply, maybe the buyer is a newbie and doesn't know matching numbers doesn't matter on a 50 year old entry level Midget.

Maybe it's just me but when reading the questions about the Midget I couldn't help but hear them in an adenoidal voice!

I've returned to the Werthers for another look. Pre-COVID it would probably have been sub-2, but it's nonetheless a nice enough thing, albeit over-priced.

Would make a perfect little daily I'd have thought, with low-enough mileage to perhaps become an appealing classic in years to come. Some beige slacks and white slip-ons would complete the perfect look.
