Generation 2 R8. Of any type. Soon....
Still loving the idea of an R8 but the more reviews and comparisons I look at, this is coming up very well:

Same price, basically for a 2018 R8 vs 2022 Cayman GTS 4.0.

I need to drive both in the coming months.

It's an irresponsible purchase, since I could (should?) be keeping the money on hand for when my fixed mortgage ends in a few years....but you're only 35 with no kids once smile

992 Turbo S. Turbo is okay but the S is the daddy. Only 992 I’m interested in. The rest look pretty ugly.

Same car I'm obcessing over actually, my problem is I've got a really nice spec 987.2 S that I've spent a decent amount on over the last year and the 4L is about 4 times the price so it's hard to justify

Cheers,
Dunc.

This exact DBS V8.

Saw it a few times locally around the turn of the Millennium & it disappeared.

Still SORN last time I stalked it.

My then girlfriend (now wife) stood by it at Hatch Beauchamp classic cars show.

I’m sure it’s in a barn a few miles from my house, I would love to restore it to it’s former glory.

Hoping it gets unearthed at the right time financially for me to buy it.

A nice way to whist an afternoon.

As an owner of the GTS, I’d be interested in the comparison. I’ve been a passenger on a circuit in an R8 V10 but never driven one. It felt a little too wide for the road but I can’t back that up. The Cayman feels the right size and has a “hairs on the back of the neck” motor.

I’m not an SUV of pickup sort of chap - I have some strong and unpopular views on both.

However……I recently had a ride in the new Ranger Raptor. It’s nuts and I loved it. I may not be far from decreeing in the future that the Raptor is “more than acceptable”. It’s totally illogical, I don’t need a pickup although I could probably invent the need to tow a few cars around and I should not love it - but I do.

Seen a lovely 330d xdrive touring that I’m almost pulling the trigger on, but I’m scared to death the xdrive transfer box will die instantly and the engine will either kaboom or require shares in shell helix ultra scratchchin

One of these.

I remember when they were 5-6k for a useable one. Now you are looking at 20k+.
