One of those cars I remember being £1000-£3000 (basically where E46’s sit now) and couldn’t bring myself to part with what’s now being asked for them.
Some cars I get that they have appreciated in value & would. But not these.

Its fair enough feeling some cars are overpriced...but then again may of these prices are never going back down. Some cars I get that they have appreciated in value & would. But not these.

Take air cooled Porsche prices. Should a high mileage 964 be a hundred grand? Probably not. Is it going to be a twenty grand car again? No. So if you want to have that classic 911 experience....them's the prices.
Oh don’t get me wrong, it’s a sweet car & they are fun.
I just sated my appetite, there are good reasons 80’s BMWs are commanding decent money.
Fun, well built, DIY-able, practical.
As regards things like 964’s I remember being advised against one as they were troublesome & would never be worth that much as the G-Series was the last ‘real’ 911.
Oh for a time machine.

I have had my (slightly bigger engined) one for 13 years and after some highs and very bad lows with it, I still now make sure it's in fine fettle...They are still a lovely modern car to drive when they've been properly sorted.

Highly worth the expenditure I’m sure.

MK1 Audi TT.
They can't stay this cheap for much longer, can they?
The 1.8T 225bhp version won't be quite as nice as the 3.2 but will be simpler to service and run, I imagine.
(Sadly I've no room for one in my life right now.)
I have often wondered if the Mk1 will become a classic. Was a game changing design and an early car in decent nick must surely be a good bet. They can't stay this cheap for much longer, can they?
