Yes - but not from SSC .....
Having bought from Shak’s in the past and know of several others who have also I don’t see the issue. They have a good stock, aren’t particularly priced at a premium, Shak is really into his cars and is a massive petrol head ... they aren’t a fly by night keighley outfit by any meansWarranty, back-up, servicing, pre-delivery prep ......
I have owned my MC Stradale for 13 months now and have zero regrets. I had always admired the GT, and after test driving a number of alternatives (notably RS6 and Alfa Guilia QV), was still sold on the sheer presence of the Strad. The Alfa was indeed the better (read superb) driving car, but as an overall package also incorporating quality, presence and emotion, it still couldn’t stand up to the Strad for me personally.
Every journey remains an experience, and I have put on 6k miles in this time on a mix of everyday roads and proper hooning ones. Yes the car is large, yes it has some weight (not wildly more than many peers), and yes the info-tech is very outdated. However, there is a readily available fix for this now which preserves the dash, and frankly with the fantastic noise in “Race” mode, the stereo isn’t on a lot... From a drivers perspective, there are again “better” options – but, and an important but, you never feel with the Strad that you have to wring its neck to get the best out of it. Low gears and everyday speeds still mean for an immensely enjoyable drive.
The very real and practical added benefit of being able to go out in the car as a young family was also a key factor in sealing the deal – the rear seats have plenty of room and are not constrained for anyone other than very young children. There does remain a preference amongst some for the two seaters, but as a family, this was never going to work – and the Tuscan covers 2-seater bases more than admirably! Finally, I don’t think I have seen more than one other Strad on the roads, and so I won’t deny, a little bit of rarity always adds to the feeling of eccentricity!

Had my white beauty 2 seater for 18 months too now and its fantastic!
The noise, the drama, the theatre...nothing comes close.
Its not simply a GTS with trinkets on, its weighs a lot less, the same as the GranSport but with the diamond coated internal 4.7 v8 and the RACE mode gearbox out of an F599.
Carbon Ceramic brakes, the seats out of an Enzo plus lots more. They are a very sensible buy at the moment too and Ive had zero issues with it also.
Go drive one!

I loved my Sportline (the one before the Stradale) & will have another at some point, we'll miss it when it's gone because the next one will be smaller stiffer etc all the things that will make it a better sportscar & a much worse GT.
The modern equivalent is the LC500 which is a proper GT.

I have driven three or four Maseratis with this gearbox including an MC Stradale and it entirely ruined the car for me. I like the way it looked, the interior was reasonably well put together and the engine made a nice noise and pulled well. But the gearbox was so agricultural that I thought there must be some secret technique to which I was not party. Oh for a manual or even an auto. I can appreciate why people want one but it was underdeveloped 10 years ago and I suspect remains an equally "acquired taste" today.
There is actually a technique to get them to run smoother, it's all in the start up sequence.Macboy said:

Sounds like you would have been more suited to the Auto.Schermerhorn said:
I think you're mixing them up with Keigley Trade Centre or whatever it's called this week.
If SSC was as dodgy as you imply, they wouldn't have £400k cars in the showroom as no one would trust them to sell their cars.
Many of the cars on the site do not physically turn up until a firm enquiry arrives.....If SSC was as dodgy as you imply, they wouldn't have £400k cars in the showroom as no one would trust them to sell their cars.
Also SOR means nothing in terms of a car dealers credibility......remember VERDI....which was oh so respectable until things went sour...

Not the fastest, not the lightest, not the highest tech.
But my God once you own one you simply aren’t bothered by any that at all. Very special cars with the most tuneful engine and exhaust note available.
Just drove mine Surrey to Reading & back, past a sea of bland crap dieselsBut my God once you own one you simply aren’t bothered by any that at all. Very special cars with the most tuneful engine and exhaust note available.
In some ways the 'lack of power' is great as you can pin the accelerator and hear that amazing noise for even longer without breaking the law too much. Same for my Boxster S really
Just in the process of buying one of these. Pick up Saturday afternoon - cannot wait.
Less than 120 of them in the country according to https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/maserati_gra...
Agree with others who have said, not the lightest, nor the fastest cars, but always an experience.

Stunning colour Baz! I thought it was Inchiostro Blu but it looks flatter and darker!Every journey remains an experience, and I have put on 6k miles in this time on a mix of everyday roads and proper hooning ones. Much appreciated; its Blu Mediterraneo and the pics are immediately after a full GTechniq Crystal Serum ceramic paint protection. Still comes up as positively as that day over 1 yr later - highly recommended. Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
