That's a lovely car, but looks so wrong with cloth interior!600 SEL is a rare, lovely beast. The earlier models (1991 - 1993) had the more powerful V12 with 408 bhp, and the later models were detuned slightly to 389 bhp.
The engine is a masterpiece, and aback in 1991, there was nothing else really out there that could touch this beast.
Velours is much nicer than leather, much more luxurious. But you don't know that because the marketing people have told you that you want plastic leather.
For me velour just doesnt look right in a luxury vehicle, others again will parade its practical advantages ( more comfortable etc).

Fast forward to January 2017...still running a 1989 190 2.5D with 191,520 miles original gearbox and engine.
So? You really think 200k is a lot?My sister had a Audi 80 1.6D before and that has gone past 400k as she knows the guy who now owns it.
Now she has a Bora that has passed 200k long time ago.
My brother in law has a Seat that's just gone past 200k.
Neither had a rebuild. Both are VAG's 1.9 TDI.
My dad had a Volvo 240D some years back. Lasted over 350k without a rebuild and through significant time it was used as a tow car. And after a rebuild it kept on going.
200k might be a wishful thinking on modern cars but for 80s and 90s stuff it was pretty common.
Also, go on mobile(dot)de and see how many cars are well over 300kkm (so around 200k miles). People on the continent do drive and rack up miles, not like here in UK where a diesel can have 50k after a decade.
