No I think they mean that if you can’t prove you have a place to park the vehicle you can’t own one, which is excellent.
You do realise this forum is call Pistonheads for a reason?

A quick look at the ops posting history has them being in their mid 30’s yet also past retirement, having no cars, a classic car and now a van that hasn’t moved for 6 months yet is apparently insured. And being WFH and being injured in work all at the same time…….

Reminds me of Virgina Woolf’s ‘Orlando’, or maybe Oscar Wilde’s character (in his only novel) ‘Dorian Gray’.

Wonder why the OP hasn't been back to clarify things?
He has. He said he contacted the council and they told him he had nothing to worry about. Given that was apparently the entire point of his OP, what other clarification are you wanting? I’m assuming the OP got the answer he was looking for from the council so posted it on here to end any further speculation.

Only none of the above even happened.

Maybe it did, maybe it didn't. FWIW I believed him - if it's all been made up, then c'est la vie - it was an entertaining enough thread.

He can somehow get the council working faster than I have ever seen them move in my life... we stiff have a call out for large waste disposal, 3 months after it was supposed to be collected and several calls.

Ah, so you're the same council? Is this in Wales, near a meat-processing plant?

The point being it was asked why the OP hadn’t been back to update. He had. Whether the entire tale was a ruse or not is neither here nor there a question was asked and it was answered.

I'm up to date on the thread man, I know he'd clarified his parking story I was more interested in him clarifying the other information that has come to light. The fact he hasn't seems to tell its own story. I hope they are all right.

Perhaps more like Jacob's Room where the cast of characters constantly discuss someone only notable by their absence?

After 6 months of having a van dumped I bet the road and pavement is a mess. The street I live on is lined with trees and hedges and is swept every fortnight. If a car happens to be parked on the roadside when the sweeper comes, the missed spot is obvious. Not to mention missed line painting if the van was in the way.

Probably certain privileges apply, shame there are no ‘go faster’ stripes over the bonnet and roof: wink

Is this legal under the magna carta?
Has he asked to see the 'Wet signature'?
And most importantly... was it signed by a judge?

Definite harrassment if you ask me. Was the PCN on the van or one of the vehicles that has luxury of accommodation on his driveway? Think I will go and have a look at the thread for gits and shiggles.....
