The car that I've specced comes up to an eye watering £47k

Monthly figures ain't too bad though
Was looking at the offer on the previously posted link - not bad given the price of the car, and the overall performance but.. £22.5k over three years.. I'm not sure I could stomach that even for the glorious 5 cylinder warble! smile

Mmmm..."premium" primer. wink

Seriously; I don't understand...it looks awful. Red, blue, black, silver, white: all look good but primer grey? Really?

I guess it's preference, I like it cos it looks different, I am also partial to Imola Yellow (if that's what it's called)

My Mrs knows nothing about cars, but will sometimes ask what something costs. If she asked about one of these, and I said you can spend £50k on that, there is no way she would believe me.

I can't help think, if I had that much to spend on a car, what I would have instead of this.

Ok. It's really grown on me. I can actually see myself swapping my current gen S3 for it in a couple of years boxedin

It is a serious amount of cash for what is still a hot hatch, though it is the hottest of hot hatches.

Still, in terms of road presence it's got very little above a standard S3 or even an S-Line A3 with some fancy wheels so I'm not sure who the target audience is. Presumably people with lots of cash who don't like driving bigger cars so will be turned off by RS4/RS5/RS6/RS7 but still want an RS car.

Yeah thats a big plus, one parking space, live in the city centre. Relatively small, fast and yet still practical cars appeal.

that was the biggest problem with the RS6, pretty much as wide as my allocated parking space and 2 foot longer lol

Sounds lovely. My dad had a late model Quattro growing up and I remember the sound well.

Looking forward 3-4 years time when they've taken big hit on depreciation and can get into one much cheaper.

Of course, you're perfectly entitled to your own opinion and I wouldn't seek to change it; I just don't understand the love of the grey. smile The yellow though does look good IMO...though it kind of blows any subtlety out of the water!

The UK configurator is now up and I've speced my car (not that I can afford a new car) and comes out around 45k with my essentials which are upgraded speakers and sunroof. Looks like adaptive headlights are standard, suppose that's a given as LED std headlights.
