I've linked to this car before on another thread, well worth a look given the mileage and condition.

So what does the hi-lo do?
And is the hi-lo in all gears?
I remember checking it worked when I first bought it then never using it ever again- no need. And is the hi-lo in all gears?
On the Legacy I used the hi-lo as some sort of 'supa overdrive system' when out on the road though
Well we bought one through a private sale which was about 2/3rds of the price of going through a dealer. Even better this one came pre dented which means we don't have to worry about denting it.
Its a 53 plate 2ltr X something or other.
What a bloody excellent car, it has way more grip round corners then any 4x4 should, the ride is excellent and you can thrash it through fields and farm tracks with no problems. managing to do about 30Mpg which is way better then expected.
On the down side its a bit tall for the dogs to jump into and the exposed exhaust and cows hit make for a not so nice smell
