1440x900 is (or was anyway) the standard res for a widescreen laptop. Prior to widescreen desktop monitors becoming as popular as they are now.
You're right we could do with taking a look at what res's we put out and we may do in the future.
But always remember, you can put a larger picture on your background and have it scaled down.....(without losing aspect ratio). Mobile sized could be a good idea though. But the same applies to mobiles, download a picture, click hold and set as wall paper. select the bit you want. Job Jobbed surely.
Maybe something to consider for the future though.
Also the links to the mid and large sizes don't work! Takes you to last week's pic... You're right we could do with taking a look at what res's we put out and we may do in the future.

The 917 is my all time dream car. I bought an Ultima GTR because it was the closest thing I could find at that price point. I love Porsche engineering, but when the 917 first emerged it was one of the most dangerous handling cars. The aerodynamics which were the problem, were actually sorted out by a British team. There was a fantastic documentary about the car, but sadly I cannot remember what it was called.
If anyone can remember what it's called, please post it up. I would like to get hold of a copy

I want that sofa! Just not quite sure how to explain that to the girlfriend...and to ‘really’ get her on your side, tell her that she could complement the sofa with six of these Torgny Fjeldskaar’s Motorsports carbon fiber Ch.Air’s by Swiss-based furniture brand Laisr, for when you have guests around for dinner ;
……. and at 2000 Euro’s a throw , they’d be a snip at £10,000 - HAPPY NEW YEAR...
