How is a massive wing nailed to the back of a golf classy?
It is possibly the worst wing I've seen, just doesn't fit with the car and looks terrible.

Compared to that hippopotamus ugly fat 5 door SUV Mini the 5 door Golf rally car is a thing of beauty and a joy to behold!
The Countryman is smaller than the Golf........
But the Golf is a lot easier on the eye! God I hate the Countryman design. Awful in so many ways...

The Golf R is not a modern Subaru Impreza replacement, the Impreza was a bargain performance vehicle, the Golf R? Not so much of a bargain.

It's absolutely functional to make the car faster, be fully assured of that smile

The car pictured in the PH article is brand new, being shaken down in the UK, yet to be shipped to China.

Here's the first car which is already over there, and will debut this weeekend:

One of my closest friends drove this a couple of weeks back and concluded that it's a very impressive drive, having spent time in a few WRC cars previously I'll take his opinion over most of the contributors in the thread

making their road cars into bodykitted and liveried homages?

I was going to add - but all the pictures are of a plain essex white Golf, but someone beat me to it with a picture of the blue and white golf. Cannot see anyone wanting to replicate that on a road going version
