Always wanted one of these but as said earlier by someone, not as special as the 500 Abarth. Apart from the dial markings, you could be sitting in Grande Punto.

I still would love to get one of these and drop the Alfa 1750TBi lump into it! Hmmm, I wonder how much my Coupe 20VT will be worth within the next year or two? smile
There was a Scorpione version of these.

Is the Punto Abarth's engine the same as the 500's? Or is it a completely different unit? The 500's engine and the whole car actually is extremely reliable. The buying guide for them is basically obsolete.
All European 500/595/695 share the same 1.4 FIRE T-Jet engine as the Grande Punto.

The European Punto EVO/Supersport/Scorpione shares the 1.4 MultiAir engine with most of the Alfa fleet, and the US 500

The Multiair is 95% the same as the T-Jet smile

A colleague in Switzerland has one in black, and they do look very good in the flesh. Not flashy, just really well proportioned.

Always thought one of these in this colour combo would be a cool addition to the fleet... oh so tempting.

I notice the tow hook is screwed into the rear bumper in a couple of the pics, wonder if it's been winched onto a recovery truck recently...

Ah fair enough if that's the case. I have to admit I was all set on a Swift Sport but this has me looking again smile

A fairly capable car out of the box, I used to compete in Autosolos and do track stuff etc in mine and it was more than capable of holding its own against the warmish circa 200bhp hatches of the time (clios, STs, VXRs etc) took many wins and placed quite highly overall, it was held back a bit by the TC which would take the power away if the angles got too extreme in its opinion frown which is a shame as the few secs you would sit there waiting for the power to return meant you would have to work quite hard to recover, with tenths in it at the sharp end I stopped using it and bought a dedicated track car as it was my daily at the time and under warranty so didn't want to mess about with it too much.

Good underated cars, I had mine up to 227 bhp, torque was something like 270lbs ( mine was the multiair so not quite the same engine) but the little turbo which is the same gave up after long duration on full boost at the 'ring frown for that power and more you probably want to go for a bigger turbo if you plan to really use it.

Mine is back to stock now its back to just being a daily commuter but early in the year my track 5 was having some work done and I was forced (the hardship tongue outbiggrin ) to take it back on track at rockingham, a track I had never been too and found myself blowing past all the Clios etc like the old days even with stock power, was quite pleased to see its still got it even if its old and knackered smile
