Yawn
Someone needs to invent passion for electical cars, because there's no passion, at all. The power is simply a number written on a bit of paper by an accountant and seemingly easily met.
Ar least you *felt* like the engineers had a struggle to hit the power in the Veyron, as sterile as you could see it.
This? A reboxing of another product, however pretty as it might or might not turn out to be.
The Veyron was an engineering struggle and is an iconic car, largely unmatched imoSomeone needs to invent passion for electical cars, because there's no passion, at all. The power is simply a number written on a bit of paper by an accountant and seemingly easily met.

Isnt an Electric Hyper Car absolutely defeating the object of why cars are going electric?
Wouldn't one of the reasons cars would go electric is the bonkers performance you can get out of them? It's not all emissions. I expect some unimaginable figures further down the line. Ultrafunkula said:
You'd better stick some more turbo's on it too...

Back to the drawing board
Who the f**k buys a car because of noise?
Now, who buys a car because of performance?
Half the people on this forum are either retarded, trolls, or would like to think themselves as godly drivers and enthusiasts. Possibly a combination of those.
ICE is dying, slowly, but it will die off, I'll most likely be dead or not capable of driving by the time it happens, but it will happen. Electric cars only interest me in these bonkers projects. 1,925hp, let that sink in for a minute. Although I'm sure we have the armchair racers with 2000hp in their wife's 2.0 TDI Golf. We're talking power no one expected or thought possible a few years ago. That kind of power, and morons complaining about a lack of noise. I highly doubt when using that kind of power you'd even notice there was sound as you'd be too busy concentrating on not ending up wrapped around a tree.

If buying a car or liking a car is because of the noise then I'd imagine a far greater number than half are retarded and trolls. Just like the vegans, if you are a big supporter of EVs then I'll be the first to congratulate you but you don't need to belittle the rest of the world.
BTW, it is doubtful whether that car has ever shown 1925hp or whatever, especially with that blanket on.

I think you're right, but not for the reason you think. Who the f**k buys a car because of performance capabilities that are so far outside their own talent envelope, or that allowed by any jurisdiction on the planet, that they'll never use even a quarter of it, when they could just buy one that satisfies one of their primary senses every time they start the engine? Now, who buys a car because of performance?

How have you made the connection between trolls and those who like noise over outright performance? Some of us genuinely find the sound of an engine to be a very important part of the driving experience.
My car only has 270 BHP with a 3.5 V8. How often do I use all that? A small percentage of the driving time. How often do I hear the 8 cylinders as I drive along? Constantly.
Of course driving experience has sevaral other factors of enjoyment. But trying to not crash as I accelerate at an almost uncontrollable rate isn't a key one for me.

I guarantee more people buy based on performance than noise. Performance doesn't just mean 1000+ hp cars. If noise is all people want, cherry bomb and a de-cat. Unless those people want noise so others in the street hear it and notice them. South Park episode of bikers/fags is right on the money. We're in the middle of the biggest change in the automotive world since ICE came to the masses. Like I said, EV doesn't interest me enough to own one yet, but the next 10 years will be very interesting, to see what it brings to the game. These insane projects are what fuels (for lack of a better word) other makers to jump on board and see what they can do. It's a dick swinging exorcise to see who can get the most power out of a hoover, and we're here watching it unfold, but some people want noise?!Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
