Sorry can't recommend these chumps.
Stung me on my A6 when the rack failed, Wear and tear (getout)clause.
I paid an independant engineer to ascertain the reason for failure of the part. Mechanical failure. Even Audi agreed but still no payout.

WD are probably the least crap rather than the best. Two claims.

1) Pre-supply fuel pump on 530d.

Car went into dealer, dealer diagnosed, WD said no. I phoned them up and asked why. Not a covered part they said. I read the policy book down the phone to them. 'Fuel system: Fuel pump, glowplugs...'

'Aaah yea that section isnt for diesels'
'Of course it is, the very next covered item is glow plugs'
'Well, get the dealer to call us and we'll see what we can do'

Result: Claim authorised, but not without a bitter taste in my mouth.

Claim 2. Roof motor on Z4.

Dealer diagnoses fault. Applies for authorisation through 'Onelink'. Approval GRANTED.

Dealer carries out work, we pay bill of £820, send it in to claim off WD, receive check back for £500 after excess (fair enough) and the list of stuff they've decided not to cover.

Amongst this was sound proofing and wiring - both of which had to be replaced because the new roof motor was a new design to avoid the same problem happening again. Crucial to the repair job, could not be done without it.

We argued for weeks, they refused to budge and refused to pay for it. Why did they authorise the work without telling us this?

GRRRRR.
