I went for an S1 elise. I guess alternatives could have been:

Something awful

Something blue

Something old lancia delta intergrale, something new Renaultsport Clio 197, something awful: not sure, probably Chrysler crossfire, something blue: err, on my iPhone, can't be arsed to put in the photo of a £10k blue car, so will say a blue boxster as there were plenty around.

Clearly his intention was "What other cars could you have bought for the cash you spent on your current car".
