RE: Aston Martin Vanquish S: Driven

"Grip levels are higher too, with that information communicated back through lovely Aston steering that, good though it is, the EPAS DB11 can't match."
So sad that we we are witnessing the end of true steering feel. Epas simply doesn't have the real time feedback (its "programmed" to respond to inputs from the road) that a Hydraulic system offers. Maybe one day when they turn the roads into part time gasoline powered "driving experiences" we will all strive to put real mechanical steering onto our cars. j

You really don't get how aerodynamics works do you?
Do you? If so you'd know that the standard diffuser wouldn't make any meaningful downforce. Also there is no need for the strikes on the diffuser to be so wide, it's purely for aesthetics (but imo it doesn't even add any value in that regard). Not to mention the ride height is far too high to get decent ground effect. Downforce in road cars is so pointless, you will never generate massive levels at normal speedsGassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
