Maybe because it's extremely rare?? Only time I've heard of this is for a pack upgrade (i3 or Tesla) . An i3 can have modules replaced too.

There is no mention of engine replacement costs for any porsche 996/997 thread you see. Replacing battery or battery modules more like will be far less expensive than a Porsche rebuild engine for example.
