Never owned a Lotus Carlton but struggling to think of anything more desirable from that era ....bar an F40

Jag XJ220
911's

Countach
Esprit Turbo

Good call on the 959

You can have the rest though

It would be a hard choice for me between the LC and a BiTurbo. Doesn’t have the bad boy image of the Norfolk car, but still very bespoke in nature

Leaving the exotics aside. Impressive as they are, I wouldn't buy an LC over a 928 GTS.

I've been trying to work out how fast a super saloon would have to be in 2018 to match the equivalent performance vs supercars of the LC. The LC was faster from 0-100 than the junior supercars of 1990 and a tiny bit slower than a Lamborghini Countach Anniversary edition.

So I reckon 0-100 in around 6 seconds flat would be needed from a 2018 super saloon to match the impact of the LC 28 years ago.

One of my all time favourite cars, the LC, another car I wish I could have a time machine to use to go back and purchase, when they were under £20K.

Saw a nice black LC burbling through the (very narrow) Hight Street in Hythe yesterday afternoon - looked and sounded great.

Can’t be many genuine BiTurbos knocking about now
