Been lucky to commute down some great roads - my favourite is the A548 from Louth to Wragby while I was commuting to Lincoln every day. That road is an absolute slice of heaven for the area.
I'm sure commuting in N Wales would be much more fun
You mean the A157? Had a great run last week and for probably the first time ever I didn't see another car until I was South of Wragby.I'm sure commuting in N Wales would be much more fun
I used to commute from Worthing to Sandhurst 2/3 times a week. I used to love the view of the South Downs from North of Arundel. The sun rising in the distance with fog in the valley made the early start and the drive worth it.

I used to schelp over the South Downs from Chichester to Crawley - initially in a GTM Libra, then a modded MX5 NB. Was great fun, at normal road speeds.
Amazing views and some nice winding roads with loads of elevation changes. Bury Hill was a daily highlight.
No commute which ends up in Crawley can be described as "interesting" .Amazing views and some nice winding roads with loads of elevation changes. Bury Hill was a daily highlight.

Today’s commute involved a ferry from Gourock to Dunoon. I do this every couple of weeks. Sometimes to Isle of Bute too.
The grind from Dumbarton to Campbeltown is stunning but I don’t see it as I’m trying to make progress from A-B-A as quick as I can.
I have to commute from your way up to Inverness in a couple of weeks, going to leave early and head up the A82 to make it interesting The grind from Dumbarton to Campbeltown is stunning but I don’t see it as I’m trying to make progress from A-B-A as quick as I can.
The most fun commute I used to drive was a 15 mile commute in Kent from Stuppington on the outskirts of Canterbury down a load of unclassified country back roads/lanes, avoiding the traffic of Canterbury and the horrendous A2, before joining the A257 and onto Sandwich where I worked. Was pretty fun in my NB MX-5 in the summer with the roof down. Pulled off some dodgy overtakes on those lanes! I got fed up of it though and moved nearer to Broadstairs, so it can't have been that fun.
A couple of years ago the commute was perfect; 10 miles of Scottish B road followed by another 10 miles of dual carriageway; hardly ever any traffic, 20 mins on a good day and nice smooth roads.
Now it’s a 60km jaunt through the Dutch countryside. Luckily mostly all on one single busy A road but with constant traffic both ways it is a case of switching on the auto pilot and just letting the car do most of the work whilst I chill and listen to some podcasts.

have had some "different" ones ....
Puts Birkenhead tunnel to shame a bit...- Asoke to Wireless Road in Bangkok in a puckup truck (too far / hot / humid to walk to BTS so lazyness and desire for aircon usually kicked in)
- Grand Indonesia Mall to South Jakarta (similar excuse to BKK)
- Going home, up South Buona Vista Road in an aircooled 911 - best "hillclimb" in singapore
- Tsim Sha Tsui to Central on teh Star Ferry in HK
I've been a passenger across Medan city in Indonesia and not sure I could commute in that traffic every day though!
Used to commute from Milton Keynes to Stevenage
Can go through Woburn deer park and cross the twisty roads and come out for a quick blast down the A1 which was nice.
Originally in a Lotus Elise and then in the summer on a Triumph Daytona 675 (Hatfield tunnel at lunchtime just for the noise).
Some scary moments with the local wildlife at times!
