B&W might be the go with this to match up with the slats, or black on black..

Yep, white with carbon sideblade would probably take it for me, especially with the dark red interior...

Drifting ever so slightly off topic.....

(I liked your Fast Fleet reports, Pugsey - fancy putting a word in?)
Cheers matey! Already did - don't remember when exactly but think it was after you and I exchanged a few posts some months ago on the ins and outs of Supercar Club membership. Only thing I can advise is keep on at them - big problem is you'll be one of many - some of them already being recognised 'names' too. In the meantime you've got a good audience here.

Apologies to all for the little drift down tangent boulevard before but they WERE being beastly!

Is it just me, or does that interior look incredibly bland and generic.

I like some angles of the R8 and I have no doubt its a sensational drive but its certainly not what, I personally, would call a pretty car.
No, it's not just you.

Good report beef.

While I agree the R8 looks pretty awful in photos, I recently sat in an R8 and thought the interior was excellent. Just the right combination of plastics and glosses for me. That said, I currently drive a 350z and I believe Nissan got the interior from a 1980s Lada.

Thinking about it, I was surprisingly taken by the car in the flesh after positively wanting to hate it. Before seeing one in real life I was sure I was going to pick the V8V, now I'm not too sure.

Not one to gloat but as another lucky é25 member I have too driven it, and have to agree with Beef, it's the absolute nuts! Rides so well but unlike other fast Audis of old it's not all grip grip grip, the thing actually handles as well, shame there's such a long waiting list, I'm going to have to renew now!

They have also just taken delivery of a stunning silver V8 Roadster which I saw breifly last week, and their Ops Manager informs me he removed the infamous fuse 22 so it now sounds like it should. smile

Can't wait for that report BM! smile

Yep, I want the V8 Roadster next - bit miffed that its a Sportshift though - I always liked the manual shift on the coupe, nice and mechanical.

I'm planning on making a bit of an event of that car! biggrin

Sweet jesus, I got overtaken today by an R8 in the most hideous colour.

It was in Fire Engine Red, with red sideblade, and it just looked awful. It went past too quick to get a pic with my phone, but i still had long enough to look at how nasty it was.

Why would someone do that? Well, each to their own i suppose.....

edit: it looked remarkably like this:

Front and rear look good, rear very old school Ferrari in a way, like the stance, interior a bit boring but sure it will be lovely. The real disappointing bit is the side on view, that is pretty awful the great expanse of silver. Can this be specced out? Although the way it crosses and intercepts the line of the rear bumper will colour coding it make a difference?

Two pages of colours from R8 catalogue. My car will be having for certain the Carbon and light pack for engine bay and probably interior its amazing the difference it makes to the angine bay. Present colour favourites are white with carbon blades or black with? not sure possibly carbon blades again. Sat nav magnetic ride not sure whether to bother with 6 disk cd player.

As you will see in the pic the red one someone mentioned seeing is the standard colour. Apparently a few of the owners have had the blades painted the same colour as the car by audi. Clearly you would have to pay for that prob +-£700. Or you could order extra blades and have audi change them when you feel like it.

Personally I think the interior is ergonomically typically Audi brilliance however it is admittedly also Audi bland depending on interior spec. I will assume the seats will be very comfy over long distance. Havent had much time in one yet so wasnt able to get that good a feel of the car.

It is a very marmite car. Some people love it some people hate it (looks wise) Personally its grown on me i like it more each time i see one and its better than a porsche or ferrari in my book purely as its limited production and handsome instead of pretty. (only words to describe the difference between it and a ferrari.

And no im not gay!
