Mine has been out all weekend, runs like a top.
The ITBs give it loads of go and it sounds great too.
Coming up for its first oil change at 500 miles, so still running it in.

Great seeing the posts saying people were getting cars out. Even better seeing them out and about now the weather is better.

I went for a little run for fish and chips with the Mrs last week. I went Matlock/ Ashbourne yesterday. Probably a mistake as Matlock was a traffic jam. Saw a few nice cars out.

Matlock always best avoided on a bank holiday!

Got the Firebird out on Sunday, only the second time this year. Our local car meet is next Tuesday evening, so no doubt the rain will return. rolleyes

Sorry, only just saw your post.

Moira Furnace, tomorrow evening, a really nice venue alongside the canal. If the weather's good there's usually a large turnout and all manner of cars. Rain forecast in the morning, but should dry up in time. Fingers crossed!

Thanks, I googled it and found the event. It does look good. If the weather is dry I will try and come along.

Firstly. Good evening and I hope you all have a fantastic weekend, in what is expected to be great weather for all!

Apologies, I’ve been a bit late to this thread, faffing around with work, shooting, and - my model aircraft stuff.

I was itching to get the Elise out of the garage as soon as spring sprung.

I did, and that left me with with a bit of dilemma.
After years of driving really historic cars. I was pretty disappointed with the Elise. And that rocked me, I’ve owned the Elise 21 years.

I bought a modern car back in October last year. A MK 3 Rocco TDI

The Elise is still a hoot with the roof off.

Tomorrow. How do you folks my MK 1 Scirocco is going to compare to my MK 3?

I think it’s going to be a bit of a shock.

I just managed to get it out of the garage before. Very heavy steering! amongst other things!

I still love it though.

I bought it on the 21st of April 1994. One of my dream cars. Thirty years ago - I’ll give my head a wobble.

Ok I’ll bite, not to sure how you can be disappointed with an Elise! Hang your head in shame, best drivers car ever , you must have driven some pretty exotic stuff

Thank you!

Lovely run out in it this morning, it maybe 44 years old but it’s still an absolute joy to drive. I was grinning from ear to ear.smile
