Yeah, maybe its because I'm getting older but even if I had the cash I don't think the Super-Hyper-Mega-Giga-Cars would feature in my garage (might change my mind if I drove one though) to be honest I think I'd prefer a big effortless GT, Bentley Continental or even non GT, a Tesla Model S or Maserati Quattroport , something as discreet as possible but with plenty of oomph should I want it I wonder how many of these cars see the scary side of 180mph in the real world, or are they mainly just a way of showing you have more money than the next guy.

I'd have thought when one considers the veyron engine to be a W16 and the Passat to be a W8, I think it'd be more likely the veyron shares similarities between an Audi V8 rather than a W8, no? Oh, and the bore and stroke are different, too.

But how much did they make (or save/increase brand awareness and value) on advertising? Everyone who's into cars has heard of the Veyron, thus they associate it with VW.So around £2222222 loss/negative per car sold.
