This is also US. Do you have a link to the Ts&Cs for the UK? The documents I can find for UK market specifically show no specific exclusions like that. I expect its inclusion in the US version is to stop people going out at -40?C in wherever-creek, getting cracks, and warrantying new tyres (tires). Even in Altnaharra it's not often -40?C in the UK.
