Lots of cars were homologated to Group B back in the day. Doesn’t mean they competed. Renault GTA for example.

Even if the were full group a spec they weren't homologated into group a until the 1st Jan 87

Just goes to show what age does to you, as I was in a chase car crew for an entry on the '86 RAC and don't remember that laugh
