Fact is the C63 4TT puts our way more power than quoted (and by that logic the S our out even more). Which sort of makes sense with the 0-100mph being low 8’s.
I’ve done 400miles in mine the last two days - brim to brim and it worked out to be an average tank of 29.57mpg.
These are epically fast cars - I rarely get over 4K rpm it’s simply too fast. More to the point in near on 5k miles I’ve not been above 5k revs and the number of times I’ve been to 5k revs is well literally a couple of times. On the test drive I went up to 7 k and that was a mad man level of performance.
The “S” has the extra in 5-7k rev range your simply not going to use it on the main road - it’s such a grubby unit and so fast your way over 100mph in no time
S is a lot more used than the normal C63 to buy, it will be worth more when you sell it will be more desirable but for 99% of petrol heads the normal C63 is way way more hot rod than you could ever need.
The diff in the C63 is a LSD the diff in a C63 S is an electronic diff which is superior.

I have to disagree I've regularly extended my dads CL63 past 5k same with 4.0TT C63's of course there's a time & a place but you really need to start extending your 63 because there's some fun to be had.You get “Race” mode

Is there anything to look out for on them ? Any known faults ? I've not seen anything bad written online, but I haven't really delved into them.

The non-S is also limited to 155mph, whereas the S is limited to 180mph.
True but I’d wager nearly all owners will never see what top speed or limited top speed is. The standard C63 s205 will hit the double ton - according to the US AMG forums. 7th is geared to 38.5mph/1000rpm so at 155mph it’s doing 4K revs our of 7k range
At 200mph it’s pulling 5,200rpm.

The brake dust is a complete pain in the butt... Is there anything to look out for on them ? Any known faults ? I've not seen anything bad written online, but I haven't really delved into them.
A few people have had issues with an oil sensor that triggers low oil warnings but it seems to be a known issue and there is a fix available.
My main issue is the local dealer network. Really disappointed in the service I received when trying to purchase the car, I ended up buying my from Peterborough and getting it delivered straight to the detailer I use. I've had to pop in to my local dealer for the diff oil change and to get MercedesMe setup and both times I also experienced a frosty welcome.
After nearly 7,000 miles my only real gripe is the noise, it's very toned down compared to the pre-facelift. This seems to be down to the OPF and EU regulations. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't sound bad, just more grown up.
