You can buy that big wing and attached it to your old GT-R. Great savings!
Yean because that would be exactly the same thing then, wouldn't it...ETA: Not calling you a dick - merely asking if that was what you were hoping to achieve.

Some do and the advantage of it being road registered is insurance - you can drive it in the road car group on road tyres with valid insurance if you crash. I wouldn’t mind giving up some ultimate tyre performance in exchange for a financial safety blanket from time to time - for example when it is cold or wet. And if I want to run slicks, I can always trailer the car just like a race car.
Having said all that, while I do like this, at the new price you really have to like GTRs. I would probably just buy a Senna or buy a 458 GT3 or a Broadley T76 and live with it being not road legal plus a few road cars for the same money
Doesn't the vast majority of insurance specifically exclude damage on tracks? I would imagine any that doesn't is rather pricey, particularly for a full on track special like this.Having said all that, while I do like this, at the new price you really have to like GTRs. I know it's a prototype, I'm sure the driving performance will be exceptional and I'm not sure that I actually can think of any direct competitors off the top of my head, but even so...
...isn't £720k quite a lot for a (heavily) tuned GTR? Does anyone really want a GT3 car for the road?
Yeah, I know, typical PH comment moaning about price and I'm usually of the opinion that these sort of creations are actually reasonably priced for the amount of man hours, but I really can't get past that many hundreds of thousands for what it is.
I usually despise these types of posts on PH... but I find myself heavily agreeing with you on this one......isn't £720k quite a lot for a (heavily) tuned GTR? Does anyone really want a GT3 car for the road?

In this case, I just struggle with the concept and the car. Does anyone want a GT3 car that's road legal, and at that price, do they want it over the Senna? Why a GTR, a car that (in my eyes) is synonymous with 4WD?
I guess everyone has their point where they say "actually, no, that's a bit much for me", and in my case, this is it. I guess I felt that so strongly I needed to post a load of moany PH cliches
