I remember people getting absolute steals on these when new. £40k for near new cars

I'd love to swap my XK for an ISF but the prices of those seem to be sailing away fast. I can't help but think these will follow.

Do you mean Clarkbelly owned a GSF or the car he tested on GT?
The car that Clarkson tested on GT, he bought. Then sold on to a pensioner and then bought by my mate.

Expensive at that price.

The better alternative is a Maserati Ghibli S.
Ours in a late 2016 model and was 31k.

The interior of the Maserati is far superior.

Not for me. The interior on the Lexus never really has worked for me.
Ironic. I think it's more likely that it'll be the interior of the Maserati that doesn't work!

UK and their crazy cheap used cars.

These are still very expensive in the US...although I wonder if current gas prices will suppress values somewhat....
Given that we currently pay the equivalent of $10 for a gallon of high octane unleaded, perhaps you can then see why UK values for these cars seem "crazy cheap"

See, to me, a Maserati Ghibli just lacks the total quality of the lexus. I can't see it being superior in any way to the Lexus.
When you sit inside ours it is wonderful.
We looked at Lexus, the 2+2 V8 but the Maserati won.

The infotainment is average but we bought it for other reasons.

Interesting. My wife and I both thought the Lexus interior was not as good as the Ghibli we have. Ours has the soft leather and open pore wood with alcantara headlining.

I think in an SUV the Lexus is fine, but up a level it doesn't work (for us)......Others may disagree. I don't like mayo, others do.

I've sat in the Ghibli...its a shocking lift and shift from Chrysler parts bin, some nice leathers but its so obviously bits of Jeep and Challenger with bling added!
