Would that be a Porsche specialist in East Devon, by any chance?
Just over the bridge in Cornwall for the Aygo, Truro for the Corolla

Not particularly odd, but a pleasant surprise all the same.

Cooper BMW in Reading gave me a brand new 2013 M135i when my company E91 318D went in for a service.

I’d like to be able to say that I drove it sensibly, but we all know that wouldn’t be true.

Oh, my local Mercedes specialist has an early 2000’s vintage S class as a courtesy car…I used to love driving that!

We have an Aygo at the minute while my other half’s Auris is in for repair (sting through the hybrid system radiator), I love it.
My other half has an Aygo and it’s a quality car.

In the early 80's I was working in Grimsby. My Dolomite 1850 needed work, and the garage around the corner from where I was staying happened to be a Citroen dealer.

So one weekend, rather than the 270 mile round trip being done in a Dolomite with overdrive, it was done in an Ami 8. 602cc of raw power. Friday flat out towards home and the pub was quite a laugh. 6am Monday morning heading back for a week's work and the constant noise of the little flat twin was less attractive.

Of course an increasing issue for garages looking to provide cheap courtesy cars is the proportion of their customers who can't drive a manual.
