Why do we need to fill the screenwasher bottle ?

No one cares about your dogs.
This thread is for the serious business of coming up with new ways to clean our window screens.
Ah, but the dogs could be roof mounted. Waggy tails with squeegies attached could clean the windscreen. This thread is for the serious business of coming up with new ways to clean our window screens.
And dogs love sticking their heads out of windows. Imagine how chuffed they'd be to be on the roof!

Get one of those dogs off of Turner and Hooch and you've got loads of free window screen wash too. You've turned me round to the idea!
I had a thought though: it'd be a bit tricky for convertibles. Maybe a little terrier could be mounted at the top of the windscreen... terriers that drool a lot.blearyeyedboy said:

Like that And dogs love sticking their heads out of windows. Imagine how chuffed they'd be to be on the roof!
And in the spirit of PH you could just have one centrally mounted slightly larger dog
Lots of people are confusing antifreeze coolant with antifreeze screenwash here. Some even seem oblivious to the two types of antifreeze!
One is good for increasing cooling capacity and stopping your engine block cracking in the winter but not very nice to your paint, and the other is good for keeping your windscreen ice-free in the winter but probably wouldn't do much for the cooling capacity of your car.
Just make sure you put the right one in the right reservoir and you'll all be fine!

I think people are just using the general term 'antifreeze'. Bottles are usually clearly labelled so I don't think anybody here will be stupid enough to pour antifreeze from a bottle labelled "Screen Wash" into their coolant reservoir. One is good for increasing cooling capacity and stopping your engine block cracking in the winter but not very nice to your paint, and the other is good for keeping your windscreen ice-free in the winter but probably wouldn't do much for the cooling capacity of your car.

Except maybe the OP.

I wouldn't put antifreeze in your screen wash if I were you
fail.Gosh, childish name-calling is fun.
Seriously, most screen-wash I buy contains antifreeze. I presume your point is that it would be daft to put in full strength antifreeze?
I've removed the screenwasher bottle completely (saving weight to make me go faster). To clean my windows I just drive close behind another car that is spraying its windows with badly aimed jets, and use that. Also it helps make it more economic, as I am slipstreaming them.
Drilling holes in the turbo also helps save weight.
