Nissan midnight purple has 4 different shades I believe.

1) Midnight purple as available on the R33 GTR, a very dark purple

2) Midnight purple 2 as available on the R34 GTR, a dark purple with a greenish tint in sunlight

3) Midnight purple 3, a dark purple with a rainbow choromoflair effect in sunlight

4) Midnight purple as found on the R35 GT-R again very dark purple similar to the first one in the list.

Personally I think 2 and 3 look spectacular but may be a bit too bling for your particular application.

We haven't even been told what it's for yet. A restoration or kit car project I assume.
Its a restoration. Mentioned on the last page
I look forward to seeing what it is.

How about Honda Northern Lights Violet? Used on the CRZ:

Or Mercedes Benz Northern Lights Violet used on the A Class and CLA? It looks black normally under everyday British sunlight levels, but on the sunniest days it looks purple.

Haven't got a picture to hand but Google 'Dark Fantasy' by MG Rover. It's a stunning, stunning colour.
I have to admit, this was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the question. It's a gorgeous black / dark purple flip colour, and pictures truly don't do it justice.

Exactly what I came to post when I saw the thread title.

It's on a Tuscan, if you can find a picture.
Almost painted mine in this but I couldn't afford to do the interior at the same time. It looks awesome.

It's uncanny how a matching paint job can make two cars look the same, and how quick some people are to jump on a posting error before it's corrected wink.

A few years ago Volkswagen did a colour on the Polo called Rosewood.
