nice looking, a lot less 'Halfords' window' than the last one.
halfords have not sold the "crashed through halfords window" look for a long long time.
The phrase is obligatory on any thread about bespoilered or modified cars, didn't you know that? smile
Yep - says more about the moronic poster than any owner of said car. smile

Only surprised the old model hasn't been described as 'Council' or 'chav wagon', but I have evey confidence we will get there.... smile

No thanks. I'd take a fresh import EF9 / EG6 or EK9 over that any day. Some folk just aren't into 5 door saloons, it doesn't mean their preference
is nonsense.

I think it looks nice in white or grey. The only thing that I would of liked to see is 5 seats. Especially for a car of this size. Other than that, it's all good.

It's a front wheel drive hot hatch and based on the new hybrid version that's just come out, I think that it will be under £40k. After all, the hybrid has a lot of expensive tech that the type r doesn't so I don't see the price being massively different.

You can probably get a bit of a feel as to what it's like by watching the latest Civic Si videos from the likes of savagegeese, etc on YouTube. It will just be ramped up a few more notches. The Si is actually a car that I wish we got too. I think it would be a great buy if it came out just under £30k.

Let’s all just accept the fact that wide body = cool.

M2 - cool
M240i - not cool

MK 2 Focus RS - cool
MK 3 Focus RS - not cool

RS3 - cool (ish)
S3 - not cool

Golf GTI - a bit cool
Golf R - not cool

Clio 197/200 - cool
Clio 182 - not cool aesthetically (but still generally cool)

FK2 - cool
FK8 - cool
FL5 - coolest

This rule is infallible when it comes to hot hatches / compact cars.

The FK8 looked like an embarrassment of an MPV in the original launch pics, but fantastic in person. The FL5 looks great in the photos / walk arounds and I suspect will be absolutely phenomenal in person.

Having seen a couple of walkarounds and close-ups from different angles, I reckon this is going to look unreal in the metal. White is a difficult colour for photos.

The base car is large in the flesh, 3series GT like dimensions. The design restraint is a welcome change from previous car imo, but I still believe the Meg 3 RS got the size, design subtlety but presence combo just right. Still think the DC2 Type R is peak small Honda and a distillation of all that has been good about Honda
