Porsche 911 Dakar in "Roughroads" livery on the way into Warminster this morning. Roofrack fitted. Lovely looking thing. Purposeful.
I would love one, roof-tent fitted and head to Capetown!

Defying logic, I saw TWO of these today within four hours, nearly hundred miles apart!

Silver one in Menai Bridge, Anglesey, that I had seen some months ago in Nantwich……….

And then a black one in ………Nantwich……..

Both with import style rear number plates( square recess on tailgate)

No photos I’m afraid, you’ll just have to take my word

Spotted at my local garden centre.

Never seen one in the flesh before. I didn’t particularly liked them before, but they have much more presence in real life.

You definitely wouldn't mistake it for anything else from the rear.

Bahnhofstrasse, Zurich

Too many supercars to count just cruising around.

Saw an odd looking targa sportscar. Sizewise, halfway a Smart coupe and a 911.

Wheels looked over-sized for the car but still looked quite cool.

Any ideas?

I am always amazed how many of the spotted cars on PH are visiting garden centres.

Supercar spotting in Zurich gets boring real quick. Harder to spot a normal car hehe

Definitely. My wife and son were over there a few weeks ago. My son kept sending photos to me of cars he’d spotted. I came to the conclusion that there are as many GT3 RSs there as there are Prius in London.

It's the powerfully built director's passtime of choice. It's gym, garden centre, Waitrose for 24 slab of Red Bull, then to the office to close the deal. Bosh.

This was parked in the field at the recent supercar fest, very unassuming though I was intrigued as to what it was.
My first thoughts were a super rare SWB but I now believe it may be a conversion from a std quattro. A few things just didn't look quite right to me hence my thoughts it is maybe a conversion.
Maybe some can shed some light.

Oops this maybe George's pic so credit to him, I thought it was one my wife took bit I can't find her pic getmecoat

Definitely a conversion. The windscreen angle is wrong for a real one. It should have the more upright screen from an Audi 80.

Presumably a caricature Dialynx cut-and-shut or similar. Wrong windscreen angle and rear side windows. I’d rather have the original quattro.

The original cars were all LHD and with no sunroof. Also the cut out in the rear wing was low down on the road car (although blanked out). Oddly the cut out was high up on the rally car. Not sure if the cut out was for brake cooling or to feed the oil cooler which was in the rear wing on the rally car

Looks about right to me. The only thing that gives me pause for thought is the sunroof, was this standard fitment on all versions of Quattro Sport?

Ken Block's QS for comparison.

The original Sport Quattros didn't have a sunroof.

Ken Block's was also a replica, although it has the correct windscreen, unlike the red one spotted above.
