Agreed. In the pursuit of making the headlights and grille as slim as possible, they've ended up with an ugly great band of bland bodywork to fill the void. I've seen a few around now and unfortunately I have to put these in the same camp as the Disco 5; the munter camp.
Luckily the proper Range Rover is an elegant thing.
Whilst sitting outside at the cafe at Eastnor Castle the other day, we spotted what looked like one of these, wrapped in camo, it looked like it had been on the LR course there judging by the state of it! It also had 4 quite large round exhaust pipes/rear splitter, and it sounded like it had a V6 as well, made quite a sound! It was followed by a new FFRR.

Don’t like the results…? First of all blame the survey for having the wrong classification of faults then blame the customers, as they’re too thick to simply reset the infotainment (although quite what resetting one on a focus has to do with it I don’t know), or their perception is just plain wrong! Hilarious.
It can’t possibly be the product…
Ex JLR salesman persuaded my friend not to buy one as he’d just get fed up taking it back to the dealer to get the warnings lights on the dash put out / fixed. It can’t possibly be the product…
Also worked with a guy who had a Disco sport from new and the issues he had were ridiculous.
I think some of the JLR stuff looks nice but I’d not touch one with a barge pole.
Its almost like being on the McLaren forum.
Everyone has a friends next door neighbours aunty whom had one, the * engine, transmission, suspension had a catastrophic fail.
Fortunately mines has been fantastic, strangely enough just like the McLarens I have also had.
Funny that.

Reading the thread I think some of the negative opinions posted have been from actual owners rather than freinds/neighbours/mates. On a separate note do you think the surveys are flawed?I agree with the poster - JLR are making some fantastic designs but I'd only have one if it came with a cast iron warranty and I had a spare car.

The sport and its big brother are brand new design and tech from the ground up and have been in development for years.
I am howevere interested to hear current owners of the current models views.
Currently on here it is as I mentioned before or previous model owners from designs that are dated from nearly 10 years ago.
I have put my money where my mouth is and so far my first dealings with the sales team, the car and the events they have put on has been 1st class.
Thats not what people want to hear though.
Didn’t stop me ordering one. Without doubt the nicest vehicle I have ever driven. We are long time LR owners and currently have 6 on the drive. Older era stuff but haven’t been let down by any in 15years. So I wasn’t chucking rocks at all. I was astounded that within 5 mins a salesman would admit to this and kinda trash the brand that pays his mortgage.
