Sludge, the Engine Cholesterol!!
Discussion
Wandering though Tesco a couple of days ago I noticed the new labelling of Castrol's GTX

"Fights sludge, the engine cholesterol".
Is this what sludge is being referred to nowadays? Is this supposed to be equivalent to LDL, HDL or VLDL cholesterol? I'm worried now(!)
Who is this aimed at? The lay person who will never do their own oil changes? The enthusiast who is more 'in the know'?
I can understand a bit of semi-scientific marketing bulls
t (see Magnatec) but this has 'annoyed me beyond reason'.
Does everything have to be simplified to appeal to the lowest common denominator?
(As a side note, I'm glad Castrol have stopped producing the containers with the 'EZ' open/pour type top, which was anything but).
