Passenger braking
Discussion
You'd think this would be a repost, but I've searched and can't find anything here on the Watchdog investigation into passenger braking.
Two weeks ago they found the Citroen C3 Picasso could be braked from the passenger footwell, and after that Citroen recalled 20,000 C3 Picassos. Then last week they heard from owners of a previous gen Renault Scenic, first gen Citroen C3 and Peugeot 207 with the same problem.
Their engineer, a guy called Mark Brown from Banwells, concluded: "The evidence demonstrates that it's possible to activate the footbrake from inside the passenger foot well on all the eight different models produced by three different manufacturers, which means that between ¼ of a million and ½ a million vehicles might be affected by this. In my view these cars should also be recalled."

Any thoughts on this? Probably difficult to hit the right spot in the passenger footwell (the brake linkage goes under there) but then again, it shouldn't be possible to do it at all

To be honest, wives, girlfriends, concubines and general acquaintances have been trying to operate the passenger brake in my cars for years now.I reckon the Frenchies have hit on the perfect marketing tool.
