Quick Q about a dealer - registered as "dissolved" - worried
Discussion
So, worryingly. My new (to me) car is in the hands of the suplying dealer and has been for over a week in order to fix the cruise control, as was a condition of the sale.
They are stringing me along to say the least and I'm starting to get a bit concerned that the car may never be returned to my posession. I looked them up on Co House website and they are marked as being "Dissolved" ie
Legal Information

Dissolved after 6 Years
I'm just curious as to how this can be the case but they are still trading....should I drive round there now and snatch the keys back? I'm getting very, very pi$$ed off with the way they are messing me about tbh and despite staying calm and being reasonable I can feel my inner Chuck Norris fighting to reveal himself!
I do have aloan car from they which helps a but but it's worth about 10p at best.

Perhaps they are no longer a limited company but still trading?
Cheers, it must be that. They are trading as Harris of Wakefield.... No Ltd on the end. Co house list them as Harris of wakefield limited.
Anyway, I'll reserve judgement until the end of the week but I'm not a happy camper!
As previously advised.
A firm (as opposed to a "company") could at some stage in its existence decide that it is favourable to trade as a limited company.
In the future, that could be reviewed and if there is no benefit there certainly are obligations and costs that could be avoided by no longer trading as a ltd co. So some companies do just that and dissolve.
It is not significant in respect of your issue, indeed personally I would much rather deal with an individual than a company.
