Lotus Evora: Spotted
High miles but a low price - time to take a punt on a £25K Evora?

OK, this one is Cat D, but the advert looks good and it is epic value for a fabulous car like the Evora > http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/l...
Fantastically detailed advert I really liked that. If you were planning on keeping it for a few years perhaps not such an issue but I am always very unsure of the resale value on a category D vehicle and how hard it would be to shift it on.
I've driven an Evora S and I reckon it's the best everyday car I've ever driven from a pure driving point of view (that's if you don't classify an Exige V6 as an everyday car). On paper, the Cayman should be better than the Evora as it has a lower centre of gravity and it's slightly lighter, but from driving both, it just isn't, the Evora is comfortably better to drive - better ride, better handling and better feel and feedback.

A 2+2 Evora is very very tempting. Completely unjustifiable but very tempting
I had a 2+2 once and got fed up with people asking for lifts, me explaining it's tight in the back, and then having them moan the whole way and asking me to move my seat forward, compromising my driving safety (I have very long legs), and the passenger seat too, so I couldn't see at junctions. After that experience I'll never own a 2+2 again. My dream Evora's an S with a 2+0 interior RobM77 said:

+2 for me as I have a 3-year-old daughter, so it would be at least a year before I'd have to sell it as she was too big
I have a very lanky 8 year-old son (and another 6 year-old one). The 8 year-old is about the height of an average 10 year-old. Both boys fit in fine and love being in the car. However, young teenagers would be borderline. Adults no chance, unless they cut a hole in the roof and wear goggles. I am 5ft 11" and my preferred driving position still leaves sufficient leg room for the kids in the back, so I am sure it will be headroom that is the limiting factor.EDIT: just reading this thread made me decide to go out for a quick blast in the car. It doesn't half scream when you feel like it! Fabulous.
