Anyone used www.autotrader-dealer.com before?

Hi all

I'm selling my car on Autotrader and have had a text from www.autotrader-dealer.com whom I've never heard of before. Has anyone used them beofer and if so, did they offer close to the value your vehicle was for sale for? Any feedback at all?

Weirdly if you google search "autotrader dealer" it doesn't bring up the website.

Iirc, they try and charge you some £40 admin fee to take the car off you then never show up but keep your money. Or something.

You pay for the appointment, they never turn up, they never buy your car, they disappear.

This website will be gone in less than 7 days.

Any "buyer" who charges the seller a deposit for valuation is more likely to be a scammer than anything else.

For completeness - the domain was registered on 4th Jan. 2014.

There's obviously a little group of scammers who think that using "autotrader" as part of the domain makes their scam look more legitimate. They seem to be correct, too.

If you click the autotrader link on the bottom of the page It doesn't take you there it take you back to their homepage.

The fact that a google search doesn't even bring anything up (not even their website) suggests it's dodgy.

Because the site was only registered yesterday so won't have been indexed by google yet!
