I’d say it needs at least a £5 wash from the local lads. After a new chassis, various engine bits, dash etc

Not sure how much the chassis is but with labour costs I’d say it’s better off as salvage.

Third party at fault for running into the back of them? Big insurance claim!

It'll polish out.

More to the point, it's 30 degrees, why was the roof up?

Ouch, hope those involved are ok. Recommend super resin polish for the lambo.

It'll be repaired and be next seen for sale in a multistorey car park in Keighley.

What a shame, perhaps a Cat C bargain for someone.
Hopefully the motorist who hit this work of art is prosecuted by the full weight of the law and pay all the expenses incurred.

That looks nasty. I hope everyone was ok. No mention of injuries but then no pictures of the car driven by the "innocent motorist" either.

Exactly my thoughts.

However....
The actual Police have said the driver was ‘Innocent’ which was foolish!
Now the person who was most likely driving without due care and attention, will think it wasn’t their fault and cause a big kerfuffle frown

People are calling the police out on the tweet for judging the person who crashed into it innocent without any investigation or trial.
Wonder if it only had a tenners worth of fuel in it to deter theft attempts from the dealership?

Quick to blame the innocent motorist, it might have had the engine or wheel seize, or a flat tyre, causing it to swerve into lane three.

What are the two bits sticking out the engine bay at the back of the roof?

30 is bloody hot to be driving around with the roof down for me. Far too hot even at speed.

It'll be interesting if we hear why the police have called the driver that hit it innocent.

Roll "hoop". If it lands on it's roof the driver's head may be what the whole vehicle rests on, as the only other contact points on the car would be the windscreen and the back of the engine bay lid.

There was a Fiat Punto rear ended near me today. I see that hasn't made the media.

It depends on the circumstances. A driver can be driving well within the law and without negligence and collide with a stationary vehicle in lane 3 or 4 without criminal or civil liability.

Imagine being on a straight motorway in a car and following an SUV (at a safe distance). The SUV notices the prone car on lane 3 later than they should. They swerve out of lane, almost hitting the stationary car. Suddenly, their exit reveals it to you, too late to do anything about it, and bang.

You've driven carefully and competently, and something unexpected and unforeseeable has happened. No liability.
