Great forum, had a nose around at some of the posts & pics - you can find answers to everything !!!
I used to own a 1970 VW Beetle CYA 100J White with Blue sides, sadly and with freat regret i had to sell her due to been made redundant etc :-( I would so love to see her again and possible buy her back (if she were for sale) My husband spent so much time on her bringing her back to life .... she was beautiful and we has so much fun driving her about and I MISS HER TERRIBLY !!!!

My parents owned a 1972 beetle. It was diamond silver. My dad unfortunately knew very little about cars and when it misfired he sold it for next to nothing and got a nasty VW Polo instead.
Many years later (when I still lived in the UK) the guy he sold it to offered it back to me. This car was immaculate and had only covered 37,000 miles. When I saw it, I was shocked, the car was rusty all over, holes in the body and smashed glass. It was comical that he was expecting money for it. I couldn't believe he'd allowed it to get to this condition. This guy was a bit of a loser, couldnt hold down a job, lived off his wife and had a drinking problem.
So much for that car...
