30k - 3 cars - What you gonna buy/add to your collection?
Discussion
Load lugging beast, £8k + say £7k to get it supercharged and well sorted? £15k
Open top summer fun and maybe a few track days, 200bhp Supercharged MX-5 £3,300
Some kind of monster supra (500bhp+) for posing and eating other cars on straight bits of road. This 600bhp black one might do to start, £12k ish:
However I'm already not happy with those, so might swap to an RS4 wagon, VX220 and skyline or maybe mustang of some sort

Right:
The everyday car - everything I need, not having a kids or a big family I dont need a big estate. This has enough space inside, good reliable build quality, and being so underpowered makes the other cars feel much faster

The fun car - Love a classic Porsche (only have to look at my profile for that ) and love the look of a turbo bodied targa:

Track car - Ok so its a tiny bit over what I have left but it looks like a proper track attack car - motorbike engine + tiny lightweight body

Lexus LS430 - family car / barge sorted. 4k
Any cheap scooter 1k
500bhp Subaru Impreza 10k
Leaves you with another 15k for hookers and blow.
Not interested in a derv, about the only thing left might be a convertible. Pick up a cheap MX5 and drive it into the ground, while keeping the balance of cash on hand for "incidentals".

Car 1 - £10k buys a sorted, tuned and fettled Triumph GT6
Car 2 - £15k buys a reasonable Porsche 996
Car 3 - £5k buys a good low mileage MG ZT CDTi for trundling about in
I'd also keep my Spitfire, change my current shed for a series Land Rover and look at sourcing a Vitesse, which is more than 3 cars I know, but I'm choosing to bend the rules. Need a bigger drive/garage though!

E46 M3 (daily driver, howling straight 6 and luxury car comfort)
VX220 Turbo (mid engined go kart with a turbo)
TVR Cerbera (just for the V8 noise and the shattering performance).
Not bad choices at all. Trying to think how I would tweak it. VX220 Turbo (mid engined go kart with a turbo)

CSL= £20K

Is a CSL really that much better than a standard E46 M3 though?
I've done the MX5 thing now for a while, so that one is oot for me!!
I may have swapped the 220 for an Elise, but going Vauxhall means you get a shed load more power and they aren't that much less raw from what I've been told (as in, compared to most cars, they are still very raw).

20k CSL has it's plus and negatives. Good residuals. Lots think they are worth the cash, lots don't (usually the ones who have less £$!). Higher BHP, lighter, awesome car.
220turbo v's N/A all personal preference and lots of camps for turbo but the overwhelming majority of light cars like the N/A or S/C power (linear).
All will be good
There was me thinking I'd get some change from an exige!
A mint 205 GTI - £6K (http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3674486.htm)
A BMW 850Ci with a manual gearbox (saw one for sale the other day) and an ITB kit - £23k
A passat TDI for bumbling about in £1k
These choices are subject to hourly change by the way...
