Depreciation, how far still to go?
Discussion
Been in and out of crap boxes for over a year now. Finally amassed funds to get a proper car. Nothing spectacular as I've only got 10k tops. Dont really want to get a car that i will tale a big loss on over the next 3 years of owning. It will be a second car so miles i put on it will prob only be 4-5k a year. been looking at these cars. So my question is do these cars still have a bit to go or are they now starting to climb?

Assuming you mean depreciation in the title?
Out of the 3 the RS6 I would say is the best investment.
The AMG second and the Alpina last.
All have the potential to rise in value but the RS6 if the mileage kept down will be the one id take a stab at.
However all 3 could be ruinous in running costs and one failure would wipe out any potential financial gains very quickly.

Gosh that Alpina looks awesome!!!!!
Genuinely rare and more unusual car that only those who know about Alpina will "get" everyone else will wonder if it's a BMW with extra badges and not appreciate half of what makes it so much better.
I think the alpina looks horribly aged and boring, certainly wouldn't part with the best part of 10k for it!Genuinely rare and more unusual car that only those who know about Alpina will "get" everyone else will wonder if it's a BMW with extra badges and not appreciate half of what makes it so much better.
Audi RS6 for me from this bunch however given 10k I'd get an R33 skyline or Supra, especially for a second car

I'm not sure I could bring myself to spend £10k on that exact one but a B10 is quite a lovely motor and the cheapest ones I've seen that look half about are still £4-5k with nearly double the mileage of the car the OP mentioned.Audi RS6 for me from this bunch however given 10k I'd get an R33 skyline or Supra, especially for a second car
I don't think a Alpina is meant to be as loud and shouty as a RS6.
A second car? Do as I did and get one of these (mine is a GSXR engine and not as beasty as this one though), you will not regret it:

Surely the answer is an AMG - if you like that one and its too expensive, find one that isn't. Spend less than on the other 2 and be left with a bork fund?
so your thinking of say thishttp://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2014...
and keep 5k in a borkfund?
