If you have more than one car or bike living in the garage, how often do you use it?
2 months ago I started working in London so my main car does about 200 miles per month because I am quite close to the train station. I suspect my other car and bike will struggle to move in 2015. Must invent some recreational excursions.

I've got 3 cars (Well, 3 roadworthy cars), and I only use 1 of them regularly. I keep saying I should use the others more but the TVR only went out a handful of times in the last 18 months, always a reason to be using the Defender instead (too much stuff, too many people etc). Think I will need to get rid of the fun this year.

I have my daily, a faithful E36 that I bought in 1998, and a big Yank V8 that I bought in the summer but is so nice to drive that it has become my daily but I'm fast approaching it's insurance limit of 3000 miles.
My motorcycle is a bit of a joke. Bought in 2009 and it's barely done 5000 miles. In fact the last two MOTs were embarrassing as I had only done 600 miles between them. What with servicing, insurance and repairs for an attempted theft, it's costing me about £2 per mile ridden
Shame of it was that I started using it a lot to get to a job across London but then they restricted the parking spaces. It's hard enough to get one of the 50 car spaces but there are only 4 bike spaces which are usually taken by staff, fair enough.
Nearest bike parking where you won't get a ticket is the shopping centre 20 mins walk away. Bit pointless as the 35 min ride plus the walk means I can drive or use public transport in about the same time.

The MX5 gets used quite a lot, although she is under a cover for the winter months. However, I've not ridden ANY of my 9 motorcycles in the last year other than a one weekend tour back in May. I'm going to sell the lot, as I'm just not riding them and now that I'm starting to suffer the early stages of arthritis in my right wrist (due to the reconstructive surgery after a motorcycle accident in 2002), riding them for any distance is just plain uncomfortable.
I'm terrible for not using stuff I'm afraid: The Lambo does around 200 - 300 miles a year, but I'm ok with that as I enjoy every one of them and I genuinely look upon it as my toy rather than a means of transport. Selling isn't on my radar because the increase in value has put me in the position of owning a car that I couldn't possibly have afforded if I hadn't bought it when I did.
My E36 M3 and C5 Corvette live outside and get used all year round, but again only maybe 1500-2000 miles a year at most. Mainly because I have a van for work in which I do 25000 miles a year, so none of my private vehicles are used for anything work related. My Grand Cherokee does around 3500 a year as my wife borrows that when she needs more than 2 seats (she has an SLK 320), and it's hugely practical for trips to DIY stores etc.
Bikes wise: I've owned my Ducati from new in 1998 and it still has less than 4000 miles on it. I haven't ridden it for nearly 2 years but it will get new belts and a service in spring and get ridden this year without doubt. My GSXR did maybe 100 miles last year.
None of this matters to me though because I enjoy owning them and when I do use them I really enjoy it. They don't cost a great deal to keep, especially the bikes as insuring 2 is barely more than insuring 1, and road tax is cheap enough. I don't feel any need to justify them to anyone, I want them and that's enough justification for me.
That said I do sometimes think I should maybe sell the M3 as I had promised SWMBO when I bought the Vette, but I just don't want to. I love the thing and it's mint with less than 44K miles on it and a rare colour, so I know I'd never be able to replace it if I got sellers regret. SWMBO reluctantly agreed I could keep it but has made it very clear: no more cars unless one goes first, which is fair enough.
