The margins are so miniscule it doesn't really say much
Did anyone think it would be any different? All cars are operating at the limits of similar tyres and with similar restrictions to their layout (having to be road legal etc)In effect it's like a controlled race formula ;-)
This was the link but I have recorded it...
Some more stats by race logic
Max speed on the straight
P1 - 160.076 mph
LaFerrari - 159.799 mph
918 - 157.698 mph
Max Cornering
918 - 1.29 g
P1 - 1.26 g
LaFerrari - 1.24 g
Max breaking
918 - 1.49 g
P1 - 1.46
LaFerrari - 1.38 g
Was driven by Matt Johnson
p1 'wow what an engine'
918 'felt lazy because of the 4wd'
LaFerrari 'fantastic sounding engine'

Sorry that my hypercar knowledge isn't quite up to scratch!

Considering it's on 'normal tyres' that's quite an improvement over the P1 time, which, I suspect, will be ballpark with F-LF time tooQueue all the masses who'll, no doubt, claim it's just a race car with number plates, but once you put the P1 in maximum attack mode with it's lowered height and raised spoilers, the P1 is basically the very same thing.
Hats off to radical
If they're looking for a more 'super' super car to compete with the 918/F-LF/P1 trio, then surely the one:1 is that very car, and judging by what I've seen so far, will also probably trounce them, and that before anyone's even tested the Regara with it's single speed and hybrid layout
The supercardriver film with the 'big 3' being driven by a BTCC driver was originally touted as coming out later this year, but given that the Top Gear Trio have just done the same, I suspect they'll accelerate their release to beat them to the post for maximum youtube viewing

Looks like New Top Gear have been beaten to it by SupercarDriver in terms of their pledge to do a P1, LaFerrari and 918 shootout.
1st - McLaren P1 - 58.24 sec
2nd - 918 Spyder - 58.47 sec
3rd - LaFerrari - 58.58 sec
Conducted around Silverstone national circuit a few weeks ago.

Not much between them. Celebratory drinks at McLaren tonight I'm sure, whilst the Italians are probably too busy admiring how beautiful the LaF looks to even get the memo

surprisingly little meat on the bone in his summing up. The only bit where it got interesting (the porsche felt a little lazy) was left hanging...
I thought the same... no mention of the hybrid drivetrains and/or torque delivery which was a pity. Perhaps to follow in 2/3 and 3/3.What struck me watching the footage is just how much these cars now depend on super high-tech ABS/TC systems... in the corners you can see constant electronic processing going on to keep the cars in check! Would love to see a repeat with all systems off!
Those figures are too close to call in terms of which is the "faster car". Even if they were all the same driver in identical conditions, personal preference in handling can make enough difference that a different, equally competent, driver would put the cars in the opposite order.
They're all bloody quick for standard road cars; I think those figures are pretty much bang on what BTCC cars run around there in optimal conditions.
