Funny little bit of Karma.

Was on the M25 today between JCT 28-29 and I was in the 3rd lane going 70ish.. Behind me pulls up a white Astra van tailgating me as they do.. Flashing his headlights at me (Note: he didnt overtake me, just kept flashing and tailgating REALLY close).
To avoid an incident, I pulled to the left lane and carried on pootling along. This p*llock carried on going and doing the same thing to the car infront of me, again flashing and now veering in and out of lanes like an absolute t**t.
Now, he wasnt in a rush to go anywhere because he couldve caned it and left us all behind but he seemed to be in the mood to agitate all the other drivers.
This is where it gets funny, Astravan pulls back into fast lane and does the same thing to car infront.. Flashing, tail gating.. Car infront moves over and Astra van overtakes and starts slamming on brakes/slowing down erratically to shake the other driver..
Then..
Flashing blue lights. The car behind the astra was an unmarked police car with 4 bobbies sat inside.
INB4 Cool Story Bro - AstraVan had 2 PH stickers on the rear and one on the side... Who was it?

Hahaha, I have to say it was mighty funny for me. There was a few cars in a row and all of them flashed their headlights as he got pulled over.
It was one of those genuine pillocks that just thinks they own the road and actually put a few drivers at risk.
No way to contest it, few coppers in the car.
I'm sure we'll see a topic soon pop up

PH stickers and seemingly losing his temper at people being in the wrong fking lane. To be honest I can see the appeal.
I live a long way from London, but visited last week. The driving is much faster up that way, but by Christ, hasn't the concept of lane priority been completely forgotten. Fine if you just accept it and treat I the road like a race track, overtaking on all sides, but if you're a naturally grumpy van driver having a bad day, I can well understand how this has happened.

space to move over yada yada fast lane yada yada.
You've got about ten minutes until the PH police turn up and moan at you for driving incorrectly.
You can joke about PH police all you like, but whilst the OP's story is an amusing karma tale, if there was room to move over, he shouldn't have been in lane 3, end of! If more people spent time paying attention to their own driving rather than focusing on how nobody else could ever be in such a hurry as to want to go faster than them then the motorways would be a much more pleasant place to drive. You've got about ten minutes until the PH police turn up and moan at you for driving incorrectly.

I wasn't in the fast lane. I was in the 3rd lane, he had the room to overtake but insisted on flashing everyone from behind.
What's that phrase? Oh yes, keep left when not overtaking? It makes fk all difference which lane you're in, if there's room in the lane to your left, that's where you should be.I wasn't in the fast lane. I was in the 3rd lane, he had the room to overtake but insisted on flashing everyone from behind.

I spend far too long berating people on the motorway for being in my way.
My comment was more a tongue in cheek remark on how the thread would develop, rather than a realistic review of the OP's driving skills.

Lol, I think PH is the only forum where this thread will turn into a debate about my driving skills??
Have none of you been on the M25 during peak rush hour time? The 1st lane is hogged by lorries driving at about 50ish, the second and third lane are your general cruisers, I was in the 3rd Lane because I had just overtaken someone else and the 2nd lane to my left had a big old coach in it. So no, I couldnt move over If you read the thread again, as soon as I COULD move over, I did, to let the dumbass Astravan driver through.
Judging by the comments on this, I assume you people that posted telling me how to drive sit in the 1st lane going at 50mph all day everyday yep?

Here's a novel idea. The OP may have been overtaking something if he was in L3? A lot of keyboard warriors on here...

Except he's already stated that he pulled over to the left and carried on pootling. So, by his own admission, he was pootling in lane 3 with space to the left to move into. If he'd done that originally, said van could have continued on his path without getting agitated. How many times do you see people flashing cars to move over when there isn't room to do so and when the other option is for them to move right and overtake? I'd have done the same as the van in this situation and yet, it's the van that gets pulled and the OP goes on his way thinking that his driving is fine...One of the main reasons our motorways are crowded is because people essentially narrow the available road space (since we can't overtake on both sides) with their poor road positioning, oblivious that they're in the wrong (the OP).

I did move out of the way. The van driver WAS at fault because he was swerving in and out of traffic, flashing his headlights and tailgating. If my driving is completely incorrect, why did the police not stop me? Why did they stop him?
