Paid 250 deposit waiting two weeks car still not ready...
Discussion
Hi!
Two weeks ago I came to see one used car from dealer. The car was ok but had broken abs pump. The guy said that he is going to fix it but I can pay deposit and take for a test drive when ready. So I paid deposit and get receipt. After couple days he call me that I can come for test drive. But on test drive brakes was not good. He told me he has to take pump out again for reconditioning. I realy needed a car. In total Im waiting already two weeks after I paid deposit and car still not ready so I bought different. Should I get my deposit back?

You really have to ask?! You paid a deposit on a broken car that you hadn't even driven? You need your head testing!
Get your money back now. If he won't return it, swallow the £250 loss and forget it. Consider it a lesson learned.
If you've had aggro at this stage, imagine how much help you will get with future problems after you have paid for the car? None is the answer.

Never expect to get a deposit back - if in doubt, don't leave one. There are always other opportunities.
Never buy anything that the seller claims they "will fix".
Learn your lesson and move on.

Get your deposit back OP, there's plenty of good cars from good dealers out there

Obviously one of the resident PH multi-millionaires, fight tooth and nail to get your deposit back.Whilst the dealer should, and might, return the deposit it isn't guaranteed is it?
Depends on the dealer doesn't it. A bona fide place will return it, dodgier back street/home traders might just vanish - you can't get blood out of a stone. Dealer hasn't covered himself in glory so far with regards to the prep of the car has he?
Be prepared to lose the £250. If you get it back then consider it a bonus.
