Average bhp across your car history
Discussion
In homage to the 'Number of cars owned vs. number of cylinders?' thread I thought it would be interesting to see what your average power (BHP) across your car history is.
Here's mine:
Peugeot 306 1.4 Miami - 75 bhp
Peugeot 306 2.0 XSi - 135 bhp
Toyota MR2 Rev 1 Turbo - 220 bhp as stock (approx. 240 bhp after modifications)
Saab 900 XS - 130 bhp
BMW 330i - 231 bhp
Toyota MR2 Rev 3 Turbo - 240 bhp as stock (approx. 300 bhp after modifications)
BMW M6 - 501 bhp
1531 bhp in total (over 1600 bhp including mods).
Average: 219 bhp (approx. 230 bhp with mods)

Problem for me is when I was young and didn't do many miles I couldn't afford insurance of higher power cars.
Problem for me is since I left uni my shortest commute has been 30 miles but has averaged more like 50 miles so I've always needed a diesel.
I did put 2 fingers up to that for 10 months of running an S2000 to then realise that although it is capable of doing so it is a shame to use a nice car like that for trundling up and down straight motorways. That and I sold it to go towards my house deposit. Since I've bought the house I've managed to stay sensible and have diesel cars.

Simple average = 175bhp
Weighted average = 187bhp (i.e. by length of ownership)
I didn't own anything performance-oriented until I was 25, and (except for a year with an old turbo-diesel Focus) have only ever owned nat-aspirated petrol cars. So not too bad to be knocking on the door of 200...

27 years of car ownership now and from 1990-1998 i owned over 50 cars in total with a average prob around the 60bhp mark
They were mostly minis and metros and mk1/2 fiestas and escorts with a couple of them being non standard engines.
In 1998 I met my wife and have had a few cars/bikes
309gti 130bhp
r21 1.9 around 100bhp?
orion 1.4 75bhp?
audi 80 1.6 aprox 75ish bhp
mg metro 75bhp
suzuki swift sky 52bhp (bought brand new in 2000)
suzuki baleno 94bhp
punto hgt 130bhp
fabia vrs 130 bhp
sportka 100 bhp
fiesta zetec s 100 bhp
alfa gt 165 bhp
suzuki swift sport 123 bhp ( have owned now for 3.5 years)
yamaha fazer 600 95 bhp
yamaha xj6 79 bhp
daytona 600 125 bhp
mt09 tracer 115bhp
so 17 engines with a average of aprox 100bhp since 1998 must be one of the lowest averages on ph lol
