I wouldn’t have believed it if I didn’t see it, but driving into our local WalMart this afternoon, we followed in this car:

Doesn’t look too bad - check out the other side...

Shouldn't this be in the Cars you never knew existed thread? A Yaris with a boot/trunk?

How about Toyota Prius C? I had no clue one existed, until yesterday.

Christ!

You can see they've had it like that a while as it's gone rusty as well... Amazing.

And don't forget the Zagatoesque asymmetric styling.

Hold up. How does that work? Do you have to insure that £5k with your own money? Surely no-one in their right mind drives around with a £5k excess? Hardly a "fully expensed company car".

To add insult to injury HR had, several months earlier, given me a form to sign which stated that I'd pay the first £5000 (I think), of any damage done to company property. I'd filed that form in my desk drawer and left it unsigned.

Cue HR demanding that I retrospectively sign that form, me refusing, and my career in car sales ending shortly afterwards.
Please tell me that you used the phrase:

"Bearing in mind what just happened, how colossaly fking stupid would someone have to be to think that I would actually do that."

Yes sir.

Wouldn’t have believed it if I didn’t drive in behind it.

It hadn’t rolled - something must have dropped on it.

Piano anyone?!

That's how my career as a part time pizza delivery driver ended as a teenager!

I had crashed my crappy old ford escort and my boss needed me working so he lent me his Barry'd up escort to work in (it was his pride and joy) .

A couple of nights later I was trying to pull out of a junction but my view was blocked by a badly parked van. I was just nudging out really slowly until I could see and all of a sudden I got smashed into by yet another ford escort who really should have seen me by that point but the accident was obviously my fault .

His car was totalled. He then gave me an insurance form to fill out and told me I would be liable for the excess of £1k.

I felt really bad for him but I just quit on the spot.

Reminds of this car that I used to see driving around San Francisco in 1990.
The damage was done in the earthquake of 89 and he just had the car resprayed and put a license plate on it that showed the time the damage happened and just left it like that!

On the way into work the following morning I managed to barrel roll it into a farmers field after hitting a patch of ice whilst thinking I was Henri Tiovonen.
Considering how he died, that's probably not far off.

Surprised it’s legal or insurable. Would be pulled immediately in Canada. Great pics though.
