Aberdeen today (so living up to the stereotypes).

As I was filling up (161.9ppl!) This bloke rocked up to the shell filling station today with the filthiest car I’ve seen for a while (actually commented to the guy in the shop I though it was a graphic wrap at 1st).

Doesn’t use a powerhose or the carwash but instead proceeds to wash his car with the little hose for topping up screen wash bottles, leaving mud all around the area!

Given it's covered on one side only (by the looks of it) I'd say he's left the car parked next to a huge puddle on the side of a busy road! But yeah that's pretty tight, even for Aberdeen.

Why are fifty pence pieces shaped the way they are?

So you can use a spanner to get one off an Aberdonian!

I remember getting a Corsa hire car into a similar state once when I put it into a ditch. I did splash out on the jetwash though so that I could really scrub away the evidence.

I suppose he could be a detailing buff who was simply getting it safe to drive by rinsing it off the windows rather than risk the car wash on his ceramic coated, polished to 1 micron surface finish paintwork - I've seen such a level of obsession on lesser cars than a cooking spec Corsa.

I once took my car through an IMO to remove a blob of flob. A workman in a flatbed Transit furnished my car with an impressively viscous docker's omelette (turned out he had form for doing that and was already on a warning for doing the same to someone else). You can't very well say "please clean these few square inches" so you end up with the full on funky-colour foam and blow-dry all because of someone got frustrated in morning traffic and doesn't know how to express his emotions normally.

I'd have at least jammed my finger over the nozzle to create a bit of pressure biggrin

I'm guessing he just saw "water" and didn't know what it was for and thought it was for car cleaning, so probably a bit thick rather than tight.

I’ll give it a few days before this descends into a discussion on what is / isn’t a super car . .

But what does 'nippy' mean?

Always thought it was an excited terrier.

No, you’re thinking of Gnipper, I think he has a famous cousin called Gnasher…

I find that quite offensive.

Other brands of strong lager are available..... Kestrel, McEwan's, Carlsberg Special Brew............and we haven't even gotten to fortified wines, yet.

At 161.9p per litre it's hardly surprising he is trying to save money on a car wash.

Yes, punchline is "but can you clap your hands?"
