Mitsu FTO, fartcan exhaust, hateful owner

There is a person that lives down my road who has a Mitsubishi FTO with a drainpipe exhaust. He apparently doesn't work, as this car gets started up, revved from cold for no reason, then driven around at all hours of the day and night. They drive down the street at high revs in first gear, probably in order to be as noisy as possible. Not only does it sound s
t, but it is a real disturbance as we live on a small cul-de-sac of semi-detached houses and we can practically hear each other's bodily functions from indoors. The car is regularly broken, presumably because he doesn't know what he is doing (as illustrated by revving from cold), and yet he regularly fiddles with the bonnet up like he knows what he is doing. This is mainly a vent as I don't have the courage to go have a word, as many down the street have tried and it simply ends in a slanging match (he is about 21, living with a bird twice his age). I wish I had an air gun, so whenever they went past my house I could ding a panel.

Definitely not his Mum, there is a shocking back-story which is not something I want to go into on here! By that I mean actually shocking, not just lower middle-class curtain twitching shocking. However this is indeed 'street rumour'.

It is nowhere near as accomplished as the modified versions in the posted photos, it is a PoS.
