Audi A8 now out the equation, Suppose ANOTHER what car?
Discussion
I have upto £6000 burning a hole, I would prefer one of the 3 Germans if possible.
I only do about 5,000 miles a year and 4000 of those would be motorway, so really i shouldn't push it to anything near breaking point haha.
I thought about something like a 2003 E class, but i hear Mercedes in general were awful up til about 2006.
Anything else worth looking at? no more than say 90k miles, as reliable as possible although the 3 Germans never seem to be!
I have an e39 528i sport so I obviously won't be looking at them.

I don't know really, with regards to BM, Merc and AUdi
I like Jags but just dont associate them with reliablity. As said above, at a car around 2003, 80k on the clock and for £6k, reliability is surely the most important thing.
Does the fact i do only 5000 miles a year not give me a better chance of avoiding major issues?

There shouldn't be corrosion issues with an X350, as it's mostly aluminium.
Your budget would get a fully loaded 4.2 V8, which would be lovely, and possibly an 'R' too.
If mpg is an issue, the 3.0ltr V6 is an option.
